Artist Opportunities
Join Our Network of Performing and Teaching Artists
Roots of American Music collaborates with professional musicians and educators to bring the power of live music and arts-integrated learning to communities across Northeast Ohio. Whether you perform on stage, teach in classrooms, or do both, we provide opportunities to make a lasting impact through music
Performing Artist Opportunities
ROOTS partners with local and regional artists to perform in neighborhoods and venues where live music is limited or nonexistent. These performances include community festivals, outdoor concert series, and special events funded through individual donations, grants and partnerships.
We welcome artists from all genres that reflect the spirit of American roots music, including: Blues, Folk, Americana, Soul, Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, Gospel, Country, Motown, Pop, Acoustic, Funk, R&B, and more.

Current teaching artist opportunities include:
Stop the Hate: Youth Sing Out — empowering students to raise their voices against bias and bigotry.
Blues Is the Backbone — connecting music, history, and literacy through the story of the blues.
Elementary Music for Montessori Schools — hands-on music instruction that builds rhythm, movement, and confidence.
