Roots of American Music in partnership with the Akron Recording Company presents The Tommy Lehman Quartet.
Help us kick off a new season of the Roots Rearview podcast which tells the story of historic places through music and interviews. Roots Rearview is produced in partnership with Roots Of American Music and Knight Foundation. This project will be part of the “Akron Heritage Music” series project.
Trumpeter Tommy Lehman is a native of Akron and graduate of Firestone High School. He has been playing professionally in the Northeast Ohio music scene for the past few years, regularly performing with the Sam Blakeslee Large Group, Ernie Krivda’s Fat Tuesday Big Band, and his own group – Akron’s own, Acid Cats.
Upon his completion at the renowned jazz studies program at Tri-C in Cleveland, Tommy transferred to the prestigious Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, Connecticut to continue his collegiate studies with Freddie Hendrix and Javon Jackson.
